Cast & Cure Process
Cast and Cure Process involves using micro-embossed rolls of cast and cure film that is embossed onto UV varnish before it is dried. The end result is a light sparkling pattern on the product.
The effect is usually the last process on the press. Therefore, the last print station or coating station is where the Cast & Cure machine will be installed. This station provides the nip point where the embossed film will transfer the effect onto the varnish.
Standard UV duct varnish will be applied on the previous print station using a standard litho plate. A UV light mounted after the nip point is used to cure the varnish. This is all performed at print speed and in litho register.
Machinery Fabrication
Cast & Cure machines are designed and manufactured in the USA. We design, manufacture, engineer and assemble each Cast and Cure machine at our West Babylon, NY facility. We make all component for cast and cure machines in house. Our system works with Komori, Heidelberg, KBA, Mitsubishi and Man Roland Printing Presses. Our system can also be installed on many flexo presses.
New Printing Technology
Hologram Effect is applied to the UV coating before it's dried for a stunning holographic effect on the printed sheet. It can be applied in spot or flood applications.
Hologram Films are available in a variety of stock holographic patterns, they are also available in high gloss or matte. Films are reusable, averaging between 8-10 passes through the press. You can also create a proprietary design for authenticity, branding and security applications. The system supports film roll up to 15,000 meters.
Motion Control Our systems uses the latest Siemens Motion Control technology to provide perfect speed and tension control. This is important in maintaining film quality. The film has a longer reusable life when it is not stretched.
Check out the Benefits

- Litho registration
- No additional tool or die costs
The image below illustrates the process of how holographic effect is transferred onto varnish
Varnish is applied to paper in previous tower, as paper and film pass through nip point the micro embossed pattern is transferred. UV then cures the casting, producing the effect.
